The Story of Gigi’s House: Why We Created a Play Café

Have you ever tried to drink a coffee before it gets cold while wrangling a toddler? Or longed for a place where your child could play freely while you actually got to have a conversation? We did too. That’s why we created Gigi’s House—a cozy, welcoming space where both kids and their grown-ups can truly enjoy their time.

The Idea Was Born…

Like so many parents and caregivers, we found ourselves searching for a space that truly catered to both kids and adults. Parks were great, but unpredictable weather made them unreliable. Playplaces were fun, but they were loud, overstimulating, and often didn’t offer a comfortable space for parents. Coffee shops had great drinks, but let’s be honest—chasing a toddler around tiny café tables isn’t exactly relaxing.

We knew there had to be a better way.

A Play Café Designed for Real Life

We wanted a space where kids could be kids—where they could explore, imagine, and play freely in a safe, engaging environment. And we wanted parents and caregivers to have a place where they could breathe, relax, and connect—without constantly worrying about spills, meltdowns, or disrupting a quiet café.

At Gigi’s House, we created a space that blends:

✔️ A thoughtfully designed kids’ play area that sparks creativity and independence.

✔️ A warm, welcoming café atmosphere where grown-ups can unwind.

✔️ A community feel, where friendships (for both kids and parents!) can blossom.

More Than Just a Play Space—A Community

What started as an idea quickly grew into something bigger—literally! Like most of you already know, we first opened in a small, cozy space with comfy seating nooks, where kids could bring toys to the table and play right alongside their parents. It was warm, intimate… and it lasted only a month before we realized we needed something bigger.

Parents didn’t just want a café with toys—they wanted a true play space where their kids could move, explore, and engage, while they actually got to enjoy their coffee (while it was still hot!). We listened, and before we knew it, we were almost forced into a bigger space to meet the demand for what families really needed.

Now, Gigi’s House isn’t just a play café—it’s a community where kids can be kids, and parents and caregivers can find their moment of peace.

So, whether you’re looking for a safe and fun place for your child to play, a cozy café to recharge, or a community to connect with, Gigi’s House is here for you. 💛
